THE CASANOVA WAVE - SUNDOWN YELLOW MOON

TRAMORE, WATERFORD. 

Following the release of his self-titled EP The Casanova Wave in 2010 and debut LP Joy of Being in 2012, The Casanova Wave returns with a new EP Sundown Yellow Moon which features a more nuanced, earthy sound than his previous releases. It marks a break from his prior 'electro-pop' tendencies. Co-conspirators on Sundown Yellow Moon include Biggles Flys Again (Dublin) and In The Willows (Waterford) - along with Damo Tubritt, Eoin Dalton and Sarah Grimes.

Bluestack Records in association with the Earagail Arts Festival are proud to present an evening of live music and discussion featuring legendary DJ, artist and producer Donal Dineen and two of Ireland’s finest emerging artists Ambience Affair and SlowPlaceLikeHome. A musical pioneer since his early days as the presenter of No Disco (RTE) in the nineties, through to his long running late night radio show The Small Hours (Today FM), and his current series Radio Activity for RTE 2FM, Donal Dineen has always used his discerning ear to seek out, listen to and encourage experiment al music in all genres. SlowPlaceLikeHome is the work of Donegal native Keith Mannion. He is currently based in Knather woods, Ballyshannon in the North West of Ireland, where he creates his psychedelictronica natterings. Ambience Affair are a four piece, Dublin based band, comprising layered looped guitars, keys and a driving rhythm section.

THERE IS A LIGHT - LAUNCH GIG - WHELAN'S MAY 29th

There is a Light - the 20-track compilation album in aid of Ireland's mental health arts festivalThe First Fortnight - will be officially launched at a special gig in Whelan's in Dublin on May 29th. Featuring live performances by There is a Light contributors Ambience Affair, Hidden Highways, Dylan Tighe, Owensie and Biggles Flys Again.

Tickets for this special event are priced at €10 (all proceeds will go to The First Fortnight) and are on sale now from whelanslive.com and entertainment.ie.

THERE IS A LIGHT - IN AID OF FIRST FORTNIGHT

Bluestack Records and First Fortnight, Ireland’s mental health arts festival, announce a special compilation album aimed to get people talking about mental health as part of this year's Green Ribbon campaign.

There Is A Light features 20 Irish and international acts, including Choice Music Prize nominees O Emperor, Si Schroeder, Windings and Crayonsmith.

The album is available in a variety of digital formats from May 6th.

An exclusive launch gig featuring There is a Light artists will also take place in Whelan’s, Dublin on Thursday May 29th.

Proceeds from sales of the album will go to First Fortnight as part of the Green Ribbon Campaign. Green Ribbon is a social movement to encourage a national conversation about mental health.

Other acts featured on There Is A Light include Dylan Tighe, The Altered Hours, Sacred Animals, Hidden Highways, Ambience Affair, The Casanova Wave, Christof and Winter Aid and an exclusive new track from SlowPlaceLikeHome. The result is a diverse and unique album comprised of some of Ireland's finest songwriters, musicians and artists who have submitted their works to the project for free.

THE CASANOVA WAVE - LIVE AT FEILE NA BEALTAINE 2014 03.05.14

The Casanova Wave joins the line-up at this year's Féile na Bealtaine in Dingle Co. Kerry which runs from May 1st-5th. This year is the 20th anniversary of the festival. The Casanova Wave will be appearing at McCarthy's Bar on 3rd May from 9PM.

SLOWPLACELIKEHOME - LIVE AT PHASE ONE FESTIVAL 2014 20.04.14

Donegal-based musician and producer SLOWPLACELIKEHOME has been added to the 2014 Phase One Festival line-up which takes place in Carrick-On-Shannon Co. Leitrim on April 19th and 20th.
